Bill Title: Amends the Election Code. Provides that each petition for nomination shall include an affidavit signed by the candidate, under oath, stating that the petition contains no fewer than the specified minimum number of signatures. Provides that the election authority with whom the petition for nomination would otherwise be filed may not accept for filing any petition for nomination that does not include the affidavit.

3on page 1, line 16, after the period, by inserting "The

6on page 2, line 3, after the period, by inserting "The
7affidavit shall not be deemed to be an affirmation that all of
8the signatures are valid."; and
9on page 2, line 14, after the period, by inserting "The
10affidavit shall not be deemed to be an affirmation that all of
11the signatures are valid.".
