Bill Title: Amends the Counties Code and the Illinois Municipal Code. Provides that a county board or the corporate authorities of a municipality shall not adopt a code or ordinance that (i) prohibits a person or entity from installing or equipping fire sprinklers in specified residences or (ii) requires a person or entity to install or equip fire sprinklers in specified residences. Provides that a county board or the corporate authorities of a municipality shall not impose any fine, penalty, or other requirement on any person or entity for installing or equipping or not installing or equipping fire sprinklers in specified residences. Effective immediately.
