An Act to prohibit sexual relations between students and school employees.



                Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.  Chapter 265 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting, after section 23B, the following section:-

Section 23C . Any defendant found guilty of any offense contained in this chapter, who happens to be an employee of the same school that the victim attends or attended, shall be punished by incarceration in the state prison for not more than 10 years and a fine of not more than $10,000.  In addition such convicted defendant shall also be required to register with the sex offender registry board.
