SENATE BILL NO. 15

A bill to amend 1927 PA 175, entitled
"The code of criminal procedure,"
(MCL 760.1 to 777.69) by adding section 5a to chapter II.
the people of the state of michigan enact:
Sec. 5a. A violation of section
317a of the Michigan penal code, 1931 PA 328, MCL 750.317a, may be prosecuted
in any of the following counties:
(a)
The county in which the delivery of the controlled substance was made.
(b)
The county in which the controlled substance was consumed.
(c)
The county in which the death caused by the delivery of the controlled
substance occurred.
Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect 90 days after the date it is enacted into law.
Enacting section 2. This amendatory act does not take effect unless Senate Bill No. 14 of the 101st Legislature is enacted into law.
