AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 928, LOCAL AND PRIVATE LAWS OF 2004, AS AMENDED BY CHAPTER 934, LOCAL AND PRIVATE LAWS OF 2007, TO REMOVE THE PROVISION THAT PROHIBITS THE CONTRIBUTION OF FUNDS BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF TUNICA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO THE TUNICA COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION, INC., AFTER CALENDAR YEAR 2012; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. Chapter 928, Local and Private Laws of 2004, as amended by Chapter 934, Local and Private Laws of 2007, is amended as follows:
Section 1. The Board of Supervisors of Tunica County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, from any available funds of the county, to provide funding for the Tunica County Economic Development Foundation, Inc., (the "foundation"), in an amount not to exceed Fifty Million Dollars ($50,000,000.00) annually * * *.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
