LATIMER -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Transportation AN ACT to authorize approval of certain transportation contracts of the Mamaroneck union free school district THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: 1 Section 1. All the acts done and proceedings heretofore had and taken 2 or caused to be had and taken by the Mamaroneck union free school 3 district and by all officers, employees or agents of such school 4 district relating to or in connection with transportation contract 5 C-412087 of the 2008-2009 school year, and all acts incidental thereto 6 are hereby legalized, validated, ratified and confirmed, notwithstanding 7 any failure to comply with the contract award, approval, and filing 8 provisions of the education law, the general municipal law or any other 9 law or any other statutory authority, rule or regulations, other than 10 those filing provisions defined in paragraph a of subdivision 5 of 11 section 3604 of the education law, in relation to any omission, error, 12 defect, irregularity or illegality in such proceeding had and taken. 13 S 2. The education department is hereby directed to consider the 14 aforementioned contracts for transportation aid as valid and proper 15 obligations of the Mamaroneck union free school district. 16 S 3.
