       AN ACT to amend the environmental conservation law, in relation  to  the
         taking of deer in the county of Suffolk
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Item (h) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907
    2  of the environmental conservation law, as amended by chapter 600 of  the
    3  laws of 1993, is amended to read as follows:
    4  (h) Suffolk County        Deer of either sex       long bow only
    5                            Second Monday in
    6                            November through
    7                            [December] MARCH
    8                            thirty-first
    9    S  2.  Item  (h) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907 of
   10  the environmental conservation law, as added by chapter 643 of the  laws
   11  of  1997,  column  2  as  amended by chapter 332 of the laws of 1986, is
   12  amended to read as follows:
   13  (h) Suffolk County        Deer of either sex       long bow only
   14                            Second Monday in
   15                            November through
   16                            [December] MARCH
   17                            thirty-first
   18    S 3. This act shall take effect immediately,  provided,  however,  the
   19  amendments  to  item  (h)  of  paragraph  a  of subdivision 2 of section
   20  11-0907 of the environmental conservation law made  by  section  one  of
        EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets
                             [ ] is old law to be omitted.

    1  this  act shall be subject to the expiration and reversion of such para-
    2  graph pursuant to section 13 of chapter 600 of the laws  of  1993,  when
    3  upon  such  date  the  provisions  of section two of this act shall take
    4  effect.
