FITZPATRICK -- read once and referred to the Committee on Local Governments -- committee discharged, bill amended, ordered reprinted as amended and recommitted to said committee AN ACT to amend chapter 397 of the laws of 1996, relating to authorizing the town of Islip to lease certain lands to a business corporation, in relation to the lease term THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: 1 Section 1. Subdivision (a) of section 1 of chapter 397 of the laws of 2 1996, relating to authorizing the town of Islip to lease certain lands 3 to a business corporation, is amended to read as follows: 4 (a) Notwithstanding the provisions of any other general, special or 5 local law, rule or regulation to the contrary, the town of Islip, in the 6 county of Suffolk, is hereby authorized and empowered to lease the lands 7 hereinafter described for up to [thirty] FORTY years, to a business 8 corporation for such consideration for fair market value and upon such 9 terms, conditions and provisions as the town board in its discretion may 10 deem proper. 11 S 2.
