        AN  ACT  to  amend  public  health  law,  in  relation  to  the  myalgic
          encephalomyelitis/chronic  fatigue  syndrome  education  and  outreach
          program

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. Subdivision 1 of section 207 of the public  health  law  is
     2  amended by adding a new paragraph (q) to read as follows:
     3    (q)  Myalgic  encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome ("ME/CFS"), a
     4  multi-system disease associated  with  neurological,  immunological  and
     5  energy  metabolism impairment characterized by long-standing and debili-
     6  tating fatigue.
     7    § 2. This act shall take effect on the one hundred eightieth day after
     8  it shall have become a law.
