A BILL
To amend section 4513.19 of the Revised Code to 1
require motor vehicle headlights to comply with 2
the headlamp color requirements contained in 3
Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108.4


BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:

       Section 1. That section 4513.19 of the Revised Code be 5
amended to read as follows:6

       Sec. 4513.19. (A) No person shall use any lights mentioned in 7
sections 4513.03 to 4513.18 of the Revised Code upon any motor 8
vehicle, trailer, or semitrailer unless said lights are equipped, 9
mounted, and adjusted as to focus and aim in accordance with 10
regulations which are prescribed by the director of public safety.11

        (B) The headlights on any motor vehicle shall comply with the 12
headlamp color requirements contained in federal motor vehicle 13
safety standard number 108, 49 C.F.R. 571.108. No person shall 14
operate a motor vehicle in violation of this division.15

        (C) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor 16
misdemeanor.17

       Section 2. That existing section 4513.19 of the Revised Code 18
is hereby repealed.19
