AN ACT

Amending Title 71 (State Government) of the Pennsylvania

Consolidated Statutes, defining "campus police officer"; and

3

further defining "superannuation age."

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

5

hereby enacts as follows:

6

Section 1.  The definition of "superannuation age" in section

7

5102 of Title 71 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes is

8

amended and the section is amended by adding a definition to

9

read:

§ 5102.  Definitions.

11

The following words and phrases as used in this part, unless

12

a different meaning is plainly required by the context, shall

13

have the following meanings:

"Campus police officer."  An employee of a university within

16

the State System of Higher Education who is commissioned and

17

trained as a police officer according to section 2416 of the act

18

of April 9, 1929 (P.L.177, No.175), known as The Administrative

19

Code of 1929.

"Superannuation age."  Any age upon accrual of 35 eligibility

3

points or age 60, except for a member of the General Assembly,

4

an enforcement officer, a correction officer, a psychiatric

5

security aide, a Delaware River Port Authority policeman, a

6

campus police officer or an officer of the Pennsylvania State

7

Police, age 50, and, except for a member with Class G, Class H,

8

Class I, Class J, Class K, Class L, Class M or Class N service,

9

age 55 upon accrual of 20 eligibility points.

Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
