AN ACT
1Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
2Consolidated Statutes, in falsification and intimidation,
3further providing for false reports to law enforcement
4authorities.
5The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6hereby enacts as follows:
7Section 1. Section 4906 of Title 18 of the Pennsylvania
8Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
9§ 4906. False reports to law enforcement authorities.

11(d) Restitution.--A person convicted of violating subsection
12(a) or (b) shall, in addition to any other sentence imposed or
13restitution ordered under 42 Pa.C.S. § 9721(c) (relating to
14sentencing generally), be sentenced to pay restitution in an
15amount equal to the costs incurred for any fire or police
16response, emergency medical service or emergency preparedness
17response or governmental agency response to the false
18information or report.
1Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
