AN ACT
1Amending the act of September 30, 1983 (P.L.160, No.39),
2entitled "An act establishing salaries and compensation of
3certain public officials including justices and judges of
4Statewide courts, judges of courts of common pleas, judges of
5the Philadelphia Municipal Court, judges of the Philadelphia
6Traffic Court, district justices and the Governor, the
7Lieutenant Governor, the State Treasurer, the Auditor
8General, the Attorney General and certain other State
9officers and the salary and certain expenses of the members
10of the General Assembly; and repealing certain inconsistent
11acts," further providing for salaries of members of the
12General Assembly and for expiration.
13The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
14hereby enacts as follows:
15Section 1. Section 4 of the act of September 30, 1983
16(P.L.160, No.39), known as the Public Official Compensation Law,
17is amended by adding a subsection to read:
18Section 4. Members of the General Assembly.

20(e) Suspension of annual cost-of-living adjustment.--
21Notwithstanding any other provision of this act or law, the
1annual cost-of-living adjustment taking effect December 1, 2013,
2for members, officers and leaders of the General Assembly as
3provided under subsections (d) and (d.1) is suspended.
4Section 2. This act shall expire November 30, 2014.
5Section 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
