AN ACT

  

1

Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the

2

Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in commencement of

3

proceedings, prohibiting the publication of arrest and search

4

warrants on the Internet under certain circumstances.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

6

hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.  Title 42 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated

8

Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:

9

§ 8903.  Internet publication of arrest and search warrants.

10

No court, magisterial district judge or officer or employee

11

thereof may publish on the Internet an arrest or search warrant

12

until seven days after the warrant has been issued.

13

Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
