A BILL TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 46-3-280 SO AS TO TRANSFER THE STATE VETERINARIAN AND THE DIVISION OF LIVESTOCK-POULTRY HEALTH PROGRAMS FROM CLEMSON UNIVERSITY TO THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE, TO PROVIDE THAT UPON THIS TRANSFER THE STATE VETERINARIAN IS NO LONGER SUBJECT TO THE DIRECTION OF ANY ENTITY OR INDIVIDUAL OTHER THAN THE COMMISSIONER OF AGRICULTURE, AND TO PROVIDE FOR THE TRANSFER OF EMPLOYEES, APPROPRIATIONS, PROPERTY, ASSETS AND LIABILITIES.

Transfer The State Veterinarian And The Division Of Livestock-poultry Health Programs From Clemson University To The Department Of Agriculture, To Provide That Upon This Transfer The State Veterinarian Is No Longer Subject To The Direction Of Any Entity Or Individual Other Than The Commissioner Of Agriculture, And To Provide For The Transfer Of Employees, Appropriations, Property, Assets And Liabilities.
