A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE HUNTER RAGAN FAILE OF LANCASTER COUNTY ON HER MAY 2017 GRADUATION FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA, THANK HER FOR HER FAITHFUL SERVICE AS A HOUSE PAGE, AND WISH HER WELL IN ALL HER FUTURE ENDEAVORS.

Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives is pleased to learn that Hunter Ragan Faile of Lancaster County, having successfully completed her course of study, has earned a bachelor's degree in human resources management and marketing and graduated from the University of South Carolina; and

Whereas, the daughter of Barry and Crystal Faile of Lancaster and sister of Connor and Kelsey, Hunter has consistently proven herself an exceptional student. During her years at USC, she was named to the Dean's List, earned a LIFE Scholarship and Tom G. Mangum Scholarship, and graduated with Leadership Distinction through USC; and

Whereas, after spending two productive years at USC Lancaster, Hunter transferred to the USC Columbia campus for her final two years of college. She brought to Columbia leadership and service experience that will stand her in good stead for many years, having served as student body vice president under South Carolina House member Brandon Newton, as a peer advisor, and as a volunteer with the USC Lancaster Rotaract Club; and

Whereas, while she necessarily spent many hours of her college career studying, Hunter Faile still found time to work for the dean of USC Lancaster, Catawba Fish Camp (wait staff), and the South Carolina House of Representatives, where she served for two years as a most diligent page for the Sergeant at Arms' Office and received promotion to head page; and

Whereas, further, as a young woman of faith, Hunter is a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church; and

Whereas, the House has heard that Hunter will be returning to her hometown to work as a human resources recruiter with the firm for which she did a 2016 internship, Nutramax Laboratories. While her friends in Columbia will miss her, all take great pleasure in her success; and

Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives is grateful for the dedication to excellence in academics and service exhibited in the lives of outstanding students like Hunter Faile, and the members look with interest to hear of her continued accomplishments in the days ahead. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, congratulate Hunter Ragan Faile of Lancaster County on her May 2017 graduation from the University of South Carolina, thank her for her faithful service as a House page, and wish her well in all her future endeavors.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Hunter Faile.
