Summary

As introduced, prohibits a merchant from taking adverse employment action against an employee based solely on the employee reporting theft of merchandise or organized retail crime to law enforcement; defines "adverse employment action" as dismissing, demoting, suspending, reducing compensation, or transferring an employee for punitive reasons. - Amends TCA Title 39 and Title 50.
