Summary
As introduced, requires the department to immediately commence a local investigation upon receipt of a report of child abuse or brutality from a person tasked with the education, health, or welfare of the child; requires certain actions by the investigator; adds the district attorney to whom the department must provide a report of the fatality or near fatality of a child under certain circumstances. - Amends TCA Title 37.
