relating to the powers of certain hospital districts regarding | ||
district properties and facilities. | ||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. The heading to Section 281.0511, Health and | ||
Safety Code, is amended to read as follows: | ||
Sec. 281.0511. CONTRACTING AUTHORITY AND POWERS RELATING TO | ||
PROPERTY AND FACILITIES OF CERTAIN DISTRICTS. | ||
SECTION 2. Section 281.0511, Health and Safety Code, is | ||
amended by adding Subsection (c) to read as follows: | ||
(c) Notwithstanding Section 281.050, the board may lease | ||
any property, or hospital facility without the approval of the | ||
commissioners court. The board must post public notice of any | ||
proposed transaction under this subsection as required by Chapter | ||
551, Government Code. | ||
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
