A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to the abolishment of the process server review board.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Section 74.024(a), Government Code, is amended
  to read as follows:
         (a)  Except as provided by this subsection, the [The] supreme
  court may adopt rules of administration setting policies and
  guidelines necessary or desirable for the operation and management
  of the court system and for the efficient administration of
  justice. The supreme court may not adopt a rule that creates an
  occupational regulatory program for process servers.
         SECTION 2.  Sections 51.008, 72.013, and 72.091, Government
  Code, are repealed.
         SECTION 3.  On the effective date of this Act, the process
  server review board is abolished.
         SECTION 4.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2013.
