BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 372, Transportation Code, | ||
is amended by adding Section 372.002 to read as follows: | ||
Sec. 372.002. FINANCIAL STUDIES AND REPORTS SUBJECT TO | ||
DISCLOSURE. (a) Financial studies and reports associated with a | ||
toll project, including financial forecasts and traffic and revenue | ||
reports, are subject to disclosure, inspection, and copying under | ||
Chapter 552, Government Code. | ||
(b) Notwithstanding Sections 223.204(a), 366.403(a), and | ||
370.307(a), this section applies to financial studies and reports | ||
associated with a proposed toll project, regardless of whether a | ||
final contract for the project has been entered into. | ||
SECTION 2. Section 371.052(d), Transportation Code, is | ||
repealed. | ||
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
