WHEREAS, Members of the Texas Juvenile Justice Providers | ||
Association are visiting the State Capitol on March 27, 2013; and | ||
WHEREAS, A nonprofit organization, the Texas Juvenile | ||
Justice Providers Association promotes quality services for youth | ||
and families who are currently involved with the juvenile justice | ||
system as well as for those who are at risk; and | ||
WHEREAS, With goals to decrease the number of youth in the | ||
juvenile justice system and to best ensure future success for young | ||
Texans at risk, the TJJPA strives to prevent delinquency, violence, | ||
and substance abuse; in addition to these worthy goals, the | ||
organization encourages research, training, and education to | ||
establish best practice standards for service providers, and it | ||
supports county juvenile probation offices with their demanding | ||
work; and | ||
WHEREAS, Through its advocacy and expertise, the Texas | ||
Juvenile Justice Providers Association is helping to create a | ||
brighter future for countless young Texans, and its efforts are | ||
indeed deserving of special recognition; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas | ||
Legislature hereby honor the Texas Juvenile Justice Providers | ||
Association and extend to all those affiliated with the | ||
organization sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it | ||
further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for the association as an expression of high regard by the | ||
Texas House of Representatives. | ||
