WHEREAS, The Georgetown Fire Department held a dedication | ||
ceremony and open house for the new Fire Station No. 2 on March 16, | ||
2013; and | ||
WHEREAS, Built at a cost of $1.7 million, Fire Station No. 2 | ||
will serve central Georgetown; and | ||
WHEREAS, With two fire engines and a hazardous materials | ||
response vehicle housed there, the facility provides coverage for | ||
downtown Georgetown and much of the central part of the city; and | ||
WHEREAS, A credit to the planning and foresight of fire chief | ||
John Sullivan and other city officials, Georgetown's new fire | ||
station is a vital and reassuring presence in the community; now, | ||
therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas | ||
Legislature hereby commemorate the dedication of the new Fire | ||
Station No. 2 in Georgetown and commend all those who contributed to | ||
its creation for a job well done; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for the station as an expression of high regard by the | ||
Texas House of Representatives. |
