| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter E, Chapter 504, Transportation Code, | ||
| is amended by adding Section 504.4051 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 504.4051. COUNTY OFFICIALS. (a) In this section, | ||
| "county official" means a person who serves in an elected county | ||
| office, including a person elected by precinct. | ||
| (b) The department shall issue specialty license plates for | ||
| county officials. The license plates must include the words "County | ||
| Official." | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. | ||
