BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 33.051(a), Election Code, is amended to | ||
read as follows: | ||
(a) A watcher appointed to serve at a precinct polling | ||
place, a meeting place for an early voting ballot board, or a | ||
central counting station must deliver the following materials to | ||
the presiding judge at the time the watcher reports for service: | ||
(1) a form of legal identification under Section | ||
63.0101 that discloses the full name and address of the watcher; | ||
(2) a certificate of appointment; and | ||

completed by the watcher under Section 33.008. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
