Summary
To require the Federal Trade Commission to consider including Smart Grid capability on Energy Guide labels for products. Amends the Energy Policy and Conservation Act to require the Federal Trade Commission to initiate and complete a rulemaking to consider making a special note in a prominent manner on any Energy Guide label for products that include Smart Grid capability to explain that the value of the feature depends on the Smart Grid capability of the utility system and that the use of such capability could reduce the customer's costs.
