Summary
Allows a tax credit through 2021 for the education costs of a dependent child who is an elementary or secondary student (including kindergarten), if the school district in which the child resides was closed during any part of the taxable year due to COVID-19 (i.e., coronavirus disease 2019). The bill also allows a $1,200 refundable tax credit for family education assistance.
