1 | AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1155

2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1155, AS AMENDED, by | ||||||
3 | inserting the following in its proper numeric sequence:

4 | "Section 7. Act implementation period. | ||||||
5 | The Family and Personal Protection Act will place | ||||||
6 | implementation duties and responsibilities upon the Department | ||||||
7 | of State Police. The Department also must meet compliance | ||||||
8 | requirements of the Illinois Auditor General's 2012 findings | ||||||
9 | with respect to Department administration of the Firearm Owners | ||||||
10 | Identification Card Act, and this will impact implementation of | ||||||
11 | the Family and Personal Protection Act. Therefore, the | ||||||
12 | Department of State Police shall implement and carry out its | ||||||
13 | duties and responsibilities under the Family and Personal | ||||||
14 | Protection Act commencing 180 days after the effective date of | ||||||
15 | this Act.".
