2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 155 by replacing | ||||||
3 | everything after the enacting clause with the following:

4 | "Section 5. The Barber, Cosmetology, Esthetics, Hair | ||||||
5 | Braiding, and Nail
Technology Act of 1985 is amended by adding | ||||||
6 | Section 2-10 as follows:

7 | (225 ILCS 410/2-10 new) | ||||||
8 | Sec. 2-10. Business practices. A licensed barber is | ||||||
9 | required to wear single-use, disposable gloves when shaving any | ||||||
10 | part of a person's face, neck, or hairline to prevent any blood | ||||||
11 | or bodily fluids that may transmit an infection from one person | ||||||
12 | to another. A violation of this Section shall be grounds for | ||||||
13 | disciplinary action under Section 4-7 of this Act. | ||||||
14 | For the purposes of this Section, "disposable gloves" means | ||||||
15 | gloves made of latex or similar sanitary material meant for | ||||||
16 | single-use.
